Carrying forward his family’s legacy, Lucas Souto Vidal represents Nocpix in Brazil with pride and passion. Growing up surrounded by hunters, he developed a deep connection to nature and a strong sense of responsibility in the field. Today, Lucas uses the Lumi H35 to enhance precision and efficiency in his hunts, combining tradition with advanced thermal technology.
In this interview, Lucas shares his story, his most memorable experience, and what it means to be part of the Nocpix family.
Q1: What inspired you to become a hunter?
I come from a family of hunters — my grandfather, my uncle, and my father all hunted. I still have the pleasure of hunting with both my father and uncle today.
My father was the one who started taking me to hunting farms when I was a child. Having been in contact with nature and hunting from a young age, I grew to love and understand the countryside. Over the years, my father passed on all his hunting experience to me. The hunter I am today, I owe largely to him. My biggest inspiration has always been my father — I always saw him as an example and wanted to become a good hunter like him.
Q2: Why did you decide to become a Nocpix ambassador?
I am impressed with the Nocpix brand. For me, Nocpix delivers unrivaled performance in the field.
I decided to become an ambassador because I believe in the company. I trust its people and see that it is serious and committed to its customers. The products are excellent and reliable, so it’s a pleasure to represent Nocpix in Brazil.
Q3: Can you share any special experiences or stories from your hunting career?
Recently, I was using the Lumi H35 Nocpix Thermal Monocular during the soybean planting season here in Brazil. The soybeans were already tall, so it was impossible to drive through the field.
While traveling along a road in a truck, I spotted a group of around ten wild boars in the middle of the soybeans. I asked to turn off the engine and used the thermal to observe them — they were eating leftover corn from the previous harvest.
I got out, checked the wind direction with a lighter, and planned my approach. After walking about 350 meters, I got close enough and took a shot with my 12-gauge at a large male boar. The rest fled. Later, I removed the viscera and dragged it to the truck with a friend. We took it back to the farm and enjoyed a barbecue with wild boar meat.
Q4: What role does equipment play in your success as a hunter, and how do you test and evaluate new gear?
Nocpix equipment allows me to save a lot of time when capturing wild boars. With thermal technology, I no longer need to spend hours walking through every corner of the field. From a long distance, I can already tell whether there are animals in the area or not. This saves time, fuel, and energy, allowing me to cover more ground each night.
I usually study the device at home first — understanding every button and setting — and then test it in the field during real hunts. My evaluation of Nocpix products is that they are reliable, durable, and made with first-class materials that give users great confidence.
Q5: What is your favorite Nocpix product and why?

I aim for both personal and professional growth. I am grateful to Nocpix for the trust and opportunity, and I want to give my best as a brand ambassador here in Brazil.
My goal is to help more hunters and future customers get to know the brand and its advantages. I’ll promote Nocpix on my social media and within the hunting community. Working together, I’m sure both sides will grow and succeed.
